In fact, that new car is a hole where you pour your money, which in my book is very NOT COOL.
I ordered a monitor from TigerDirect last week that included a $50 rebate in the box. I filled it in and mailed it.
I have about a 50% success rate with actually receiving rebate checks when I buy something which is pretty sad.
Today I got an email from TigerDirect saying that they have received my rebate claim and they are processing it. WOW. It’s funny how a quick email can make a huge difference in the confidence level I have in a company.
TED 2008 just wrapped up and in no time, they’ve started to post some of the talks on the site. I’ve been interested in the brain and how it works for years. My Uncle had a massive stroke about 10 years ago and lost much of his ability to communicate through speech. Dr Taylor is a brain scientist who lived through a stroke of her own and a long recovery. This is a great talk about seeing a stroke and some of our brain functions through a scientist’s eyes as her own brain starts to unravel.
Her book is on lulu here.My Uncle Don passed away in January. I wish I could have shown him this talk.
In stark contrast to my Vonage and Sprint customer service nightmares earlier today, I contacted VMWare support via the online tool. I got an email back in 7 minutes with the correct answer and the change was completed.
Total time for my personal involvement was around 25 seconds and my problem was resolved asynchronously in less than 10 minutes.
Sprint just jumped on the unlimited cell plan bandwagon. Since I’m already on a $99 plan, makes sense for me to switch.
My favorite part: “Current Sprint customers will be able to switch to the Simply Everything plan without extending their contracts, according to Sprint.”
My initials “MD” have always caught me flack like : “You should have been a doctor, then you’d be MD, MD”
Well today my wife informed me that MD really stands for “Math Dork”
How true honey. How true.
There are just no words to describe this.
